Translation Assistant is needed at the English Translation Section, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The Division of Conference and Document Services is one of the six Divisions in the Department of Management. One of the main functions assigned to the IAEA under its Statute is to foster the exchange of scientific and technical information and the dissemination of knowledge in the nuclear field among Member States.
The Translation Assistant works in a team with staff in the Section and in the Division on issues related to text production in English. He/she may contact staff in the Language Services Support Section to seek clarification regarding documents. He/she also liaises directly with the Section’s clients about deadlines, submission and return of files requiring special treatment, handling of complex diagrams, etc.
