The project organized by GoGlobal initiative is recruiting English-speaking volunteers who would come to Ukraine and interact with the children in English in summer school camps.
GoCamp is a new wave of English summer camps for children in 2017. Within three weeks of camp, children from small cities or villages (who have never been to other countries or have never interacted with foreigners) can take part in the implementation of challenging projects and tasks to communicate in English with foreign volunteers and have fun. Using a specially developed program, children will learn to work in teams, communicate in a multicultural environment, to think critically, and be tolerant of others. The main goal is to educate a new young generation of active and conscious citizens of Ukraine, capable of life long learning, and prepared for the challenges of the 21st century, fluent in foreign languages and open to other cultures and experiences.
GoGlobal is an initiative of Global Office NGO whose aim is to promote the opportunities of foreign language knowledge, expand the horizons and establish English as a vital necessity. GoGlobal is working on ensuring that Ukrainians speak English, and thus have a chance to be heard all around the world.
GoCamp will take place all over Ukraine, including small cities and villages. Volunteers will be placed in one of numerous GoCamps in all regions of Ukraine except for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The rest of Ukraine except for the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is safe, everyday life goes normally. Our volunteers safety and security is our priority, so no volunteers are sent to the conflict area.

- 3 week GoCamps all over Ukraine (with free weekends and orientation training)
Dates: 29.05.2017 – 16.06.2017
Location: all over Ukraine
- 5 week GoCamp AfterSchool pilot project (with free weekends and orientation training)
Dates: 27.03.2017 – 28.04.2017
Location: Kyiv and Kyiv region
Volunteers will cover the cost of:
- round-trip airfare to Kyiv
- medical insurance
- participation fee – $75
Participation fee is used for: transfer from the Kyiv airport; orientation training after arrival to Kyiv; pre-departure support by email; visa support; accommodations; partial meals; travel to your host community and back; SIM-cards for local calls; support from office staff and a hotline 24/7.
Volunteers are required: to be at least 18 years of age; to have upper intermediate or above level of English or be a native-speaker.
We are looking for volunteers to dedicate several weeks this spring or summer to assist teachers with various types of activities at GoCamps. Volunteers are going to participate in English speaking programmes and contribute their knowledge, skills and experience. You will conduct interactive activities, games, workshops, etc, according to the strand(s) you have chosen.
Steps of application:

- Submit a full package of documents
- Sign of Agreement online
- Pay the participation fee
- Get introduced to the local school teacher and host family
- Receive a full pre-departure information package and do an online child protection.
The list of documents you need to send us after the Skype interview:
– employment history (CV)
– copy of valid ID
– copy of residence permit or equivalent (if you live in a country other than the country of current nationality)
– health check criminal record check
– international medical insurance
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If we determine that you are a good match for our program, we will invite you for a Skype interview.
